Formed by a dedicated group of pro bono volunteers, attorneys, and family law experts, our platform was born out of the demand for dependable, accessible legal information and support for individuals and families seeking to navigate the diverse adoption and family law issues across the United States. Although our Houston, Texas headquarters is where our main base of operations lies, we are here to serve U.S. citizens and foreign nationals around the country-and around the globe-who are looking to adopt children or legally reconcile their parental responsibilities. As the only volunteer-based legal services platform of its kind, #OurChildren Legal Services was built with love and fueled by compassion, and is devoted to making the journey toward family-based care as clear, straightforward, supportive, and reassuring as possible.

Our goal is simple and purposeful: to support family-based care, empower potential adoptive parents, and safeguard the legal rights of orphans and other children without parental care in the United States. We have a vision where legal barriers will never prevent a child from finding a forever family. #OurChildren Legal Services offers detailed legal guides to adoption, free consultations with U.S. psychologists and attorneys, plus up-to-date information about all types of family-based care, from guardianship and foster care to patronage and family-type children’s homes. Writing adoption petitions, preparing for hearings, and everything in between-we are here to inform, guide, and stand by your side every step of the way.
Who We Are: Compassionate Experts
Behind #OurChildren Legal Services is a diverse group of professionals unified by a common passion: the welfare and empowerment of children. Iryna and Lesia, co-founders and main donors, draw upon decades of combined experience in U.S. family law, advocacy, and child welfare to guide the project’s development and growth. Anastasiya Korenieva, our chief designer and IT expert, ensures that our platform runs with optimal ease and security for all of our users. A diverse pool of attorneys licensed in the U.S. and specializing in adoption and family law, certified psychologists who provide emotional support, and consultative specialists who accompany each family in navigating every legal process, plus many volunteers from legal research assistants to community outreach coordinators-we all have one thing in common: we believe in the transformative potential of family. Our range of knowledge and life experience allows us to provide every user with thoughtful, thorough, accurate, and compassionate assistance along the way.

Our client base is national (all fifty states) and international (we provide guidance on cross-border adoption processes to the global U.S. diaspora).
